It all began when I was a kid, around 7 or 8 years old. My dad was obsessed with water veins—underground water currents that supposedly affect humans. Back then, in communist Poland, this wasn’t called energy work (God forbid!). Instead, it was an investigation into how these water veins could affect our well-being. My dad discovered that it wasn't healthy to have your bed facing these water sources—basically, your head shouldn’t be aligned with them while you slept, as you'd collect bad energy and wake up feeling awful.
He would constantly rearrange our furniture, trying to find the perfect spot for the bed. Picture this: an 85-square-meter (915 sqft) apartment with furniture being shuffled around non-stop. We certainly didn't want to sleep in the kitchen, and our bedrooms were already set up as they were supposed to be. No one back then worried about mysterious water currents. My dad kept inviting his friends from his circle of energy enthusiasts, who would show up with strange tools to measure this phenomenon. They used something that looked like a metal coat hanger, walking back and forth. In some places, this instrument moved up and down, while in others, it didn't move at all.
My mom would just roll her eyes, hoping the furniture would stay put. But one day was special. One of my dad’s friends showed up with a large leather bag (we called it a doctor's bag back then). I sneaked out and hid so they wouldn't notice me, but my curiosity got the better of me. They finally left the bag unattended, and I dove in to check out the mysterious shiny objects. The next thing I knew, I was trapped inside a circle where these objects were spinning around my body uncontrollably. I couldn’t stop them, so I just started screaming for help.
I had no idea why this was happening or which button I had pushed to activate this phenomenon. I remember looking terrified, catching a glimpse of my dad and his friend staring at me in disbelief, but smiling. The old man looked at my dad and said, "You've got a gifted child, you know!" My dad just nodded, peacefully staring at me like he knew all along...
I don’t remember how long I was trapped, but I was really glad when it was over. Little did I know, this day marked the beginning of my long journey into discovering my gifts.
And that, my friends, is the beginning of my journey into the fascinating world of energy work and mindfulness. This blog is just the start, with plenty more stories and insights to come. Stay tuned for more salty tales and insights. Until next time, keep dreaming, manifesting, and, of course, stay salty!
